Another victim [Urdu speaking Mohajir] Muhammad Salman S/O Nooruddin, a worker of Unit 75 of the Korangi Sector of MQM. He was kidnapped along with his nephew Noman on February 3. Noman was later dropped off near Tower area the next day; however, the mutilated body of Salman was found a day later from the Shah Latif Town of Landhi. Postmortem report of Salman clearly shows that he was brutally tortured as his testicles were mutilated and his neck-bone was broken.
MQM chief Altaf Hussain strongly condemned this inhuman act and requested the Chief of Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif, to take notice of atrocities against MQM.
Addressing a news conference at party headquarters, Nine Zero, member MQM co-ordination committee, Haider Abbas Rizvi, demanded that the FIR of Mohammad Salman’s ‘extra-judicial’ killing should be registered against Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Shahid Hayat Khan.
The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has called for a probe into complaints by the party about extra-judicial killing and illegal detention of its workers. And demanded a transparent inquiry into the abduction and murder of Muhammad Salman in Karachi.
